13kg of fat down, massive increase in strength and fitness

Nicki joined in July, with the goal of feeling fitter and stronger.

The good news is she’s taken that and absolutely ran away with it.

The pictures are from October 2024 and only show a small snippet of her amazing progress.

BEFORE DMF…

I had soooo many reservations but got to a point where I just needed to put my big girl pants on and do something. Traditional gym environments don’t work for me as I’m not self motivated and don’t know what I’m doing so the idea of being coached but in small groups rather than 1 on 1 was appealing but I was still intimidated to walk into any gym and face what I thought would be a group of people who would wonder what I was doing there.

RESULTS…

I’ve been more focused on dropping my body fat percentage to start with which has been very successful. My last scan before Christmas showed a fat % drop of 13% since I started 5 months before hand. Body weight and measurements have also been quite insane…..I’ve lost exactly 13kg and dropped 3 dress sizes. I’ve lost 11cm off my waist, 12cm off my hips, 5cm off my chest and apx 9cm off each thigh. 

 

OTHER THINGS I’VE LEARNT

At the start I was a touch worried about the social elements of Christmas as I had many business lunches/events over the period but I tried to keep in mind the coaches advice on how to approach buffet food etc and also tried to choose higher protein options from menus. I had a fair bit to drink also after a few months of not really touching it and I’m feeling a little fluffy after the last couple of weeks but I know it’s temporary and I’ve got the focus now to not let it dominate me.

MINDSET… (ANY CHANGES?)

hand on heart……the coaches and the other gym guys are what keeps me going. I didn’t think I could do this and honestly, I’m still a bit surprised that I did and that I might be capable of more. If I could say one thing to anyone starting……TAKE THE PICTURES! Seeing my progress in transformation pictures really makes it hit home and seeing the physical definition taking shape is very motivating but even with that, I still couldn’t keep going without the coaches and their unwavering faith in me!

GOING FORWARDS…

Well….to start with I’ve signed up for a couple of things I’d never of had the confidence for beforehand…..such as pole lessons, yoga, cold water swimming and the mud run. I think I’m starting to develop an open mind to what I might be capable of so who knows….let’s find out!
