4 TIPS FOR BALANCING FITNESS & FRIENDS
1: HOST IT
If you find seeing your friends often involves going out for a meal, why not host a dinner at yours? This gives you the control of what goes into the meal.

Homemade pizzas are a great option, all you’ll have to do is make a simple dough and your friends can then add whatever they want to it.
But you can have anything! Taco night, burgers, steaks, whatever you fancy.
2: CUTTING CALORIES IN ALCOHOL
Light beer, prosecco or spirits with a diet mixer are easy ways to lower the calories if you want to avoid being the designated driver (although this is of course a very effective method for avoiding extra calories from alcohol)
3: MASTER THE BASICS
Throughout the week make sure you’re completing your weekly workouts, sleeping enough, getting your steps in, having enough protein and hitting your calorie target (if you currently have one).
It’s all about balance, if you’re consistently nailing these, you’re putting yourself in a very good position for progress.
4: DO SOMETHING ACTIVE
A beach walk followed by brunch or training then going out for coffee, just 2 of many options but ticks the boxes for spending time with people, eating out and getting some movement in at the same time.
There’s nothing wrong with going on a night out with your friends! But if you think that’s what is holding you back from getting closer to your goals then why not have a go at applying one or a few of these tips.
